so much love from la familia, great moments with my cousins and aunts and uncles, nature, laughs, a wedding, meeting my parents, showing detlef this amazing village where my mums family comes from, talks with my cousin andrea about our passion for good wine and visit to the bodegas where he and his friends make the most amazing wine of el abruzzo, plans of upcoming projects together around vino. the adriatic sea. so much to keep as pure truth. i can be only gratefull to them for making me feel so proud of being also a geminelli.

unos días hermosos en Bayreuth, con una familia que poco a poco voy conociendo más, los padres de Detlef. Y a diferencia de mi familia, siempre intensa, siempre corriendo, siempre con tanto por hacer, la calma de los Schneider me reconforta. Es un lugar al que se puede llegar y descansar, recuperarse. También es el ritmo de la gran ciudad. El tiempo en Madrid posee una consistencia totalmente distinta a la de Bayreuth y Oberfranken, con sus caminos y paseos entre bosque alemán, graneros cubiertos de lojas de madera que se tornan verdes por la capa de moos (musgo) que se asienta sobre ellas. Ir a visitar fábricas de cerveza artesanales - Franken es la región del mundo con mayor densidad de Brauereien (Beer breweries) del mundo por kilómetro cuadrado, como la Kathi Bräu, una casa que hace cerveza desde el año 1500, con un pequeño restaurante en el que te sirven la cerveza que hacen ellos mismos siguiendo esa tradición. Una cerveza Bock- negra- no oscura negra del todo, más bien marrón oscura, de malta tostada, con sabor a caramelo, monte, acogedora, de las que te quitan el frío cuando llega la nieve. Y paseando por las colinas y el bosque, me venían imágenes del pasado: coches de caballos, 1 doctor para toda la zona, pequeñas laternes para iluminar la oscuridad del campo alemán, una pintura de Caspar David Friedrich. Una estampa mucho más alemana en sí (naturaleza, paisaje, carácter de la gente) que la que percibo en Bayern (Baviera), con sus montañas y los Alpes, más bien una excepción en relación al resto de Germania. Pero en esa calma, esa modestia y discrección, ese increíble saltar de paisajes que pertenecen a Schelling y a Goethe, y estar en 2013 y que muchas cosas no hayan cambiado; esa oportunidad de vivencia con la que me siento en armonía. Experiencias que se quedan, sin ápices de ser algo que no son. Sin contaminar. Poder compartir todo ello con mi pareja es francamente hermoso.

The beer they make there is just as amazing as its location, at the feet of the German Alps.-@Alpesvorlandes, near Bad Tölz, no words to describe the beauty of it.... And the taste of the beer.
