maine_pop up inn

on of my favorite spots in bar harbour. which unfortunately doesnt exist anymore.... was great. one side facing forrest and nature, the other one facing up the ocean. an old lodge inn from the 40´s in_the_deep_down_upstate_maine/new england.

Jeremy_Starlite Diner_ Little Rock

the starlite diner was the most amazing spot the small city of little rock had. like you could go there, have tons of coffee for nothing- wattery coffee, but the waitresses were so nice, how ´re you doing today missy? and sit with friends for hours, have somethin to eat, enjoy the neon and the wood, the red and blue everywhere and have sort of a break from the rest of the world. now is all changed. somebody bought it, changed the interior, new personal, and the food is now a bunch of grease. so is really really sad. places like starlite diner were an institution in cities like little rock. for all kind of age sectors. the youngster crowd could hang out with the older guys and all seemed to fit perfectly together in this tiny + unique universe.

Heart shaped letter by Jamie Lee Byars, München

We love writing and sending letters, touching the paper, folding the paper pieces into the envelope, going to the post, and sending them. We enjoy completely this whole process, more nowadays that all has become so virtual. Jamie Lee Byars was an american artist who used letters as part of her performances and actions. This heart shaped one was a letter that she sent to one of her main collectors in Brussels. We discovered it while organizing an exhibition in Haus der Kunst a while ago. I couldnt help making a photo of it since it was so beautiful! Just the thought of sending a huge amount of love and thankfulness to one of her main supporters in such a generous and modest way is pure elegance.
